Tambo Malaki
Barangay Tambo Malaki was established in 1851 under the leadership of Gobernadorcillo
Alejandro de Ocampo. During the early times, the barrio was known as “Magtampo” and eventually was named “Tambo” from a plant commonly found in the area. The Barangay is more or less five kilometers away from the población. It is bounded on the north by Barangay Banaba Cerca, on the south by Barangay Tambo Ilaya, on the east by Barangay Kaytambog and on the west by Barangay Tambo Balagbag.
As the basic political unit, the Barangay serves as the primary planning and implementing unit of the government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities and as a forum wherein the collective views of the people may be expressed and considered and where disputes may be amicably settled.
