Barangay Guyam Malaki was established in 1851 under the leadership of Gobernadorcillo Alejandro de Ocampo. It is more or less 8.50 kilometers away from the población and is bounded on the north by Barangay Lumampong, on the south by Barangay Guyam Munti, on the east by Barangay Harasan and on the west by Barangay Pajo, Alfonso, Cavite. Barangay Guyam Malaki is primarily classified as rural with a total land area of 238 hectares.
As the basic political unit, the Barangay serves as the primary planning and implementing unit of the government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities and as a forum wherein the collective views of the people may be expressed and considered and where disputes may be amicably settled.
