Calumpang Cerca
Barangay Calumpang Cerca was established in 1851 under the leadership of Gobernadorcillo Alejandro de Ocampo. Its name came from a tree called “Kalumpang” which grew in a unique way from the other trees.
Primarily classified as rural with a total land area of 390.20 hectares, the Barangay is located more or less one kilometer from the población. It is bounded on the north by Barangay Agus-os, on the south by Barangay Poblacion, on the east by Barangay Bancod, and on the west by Barangay Banaba Cerca.
As the basic political unit, the Barangay serves as the primary planning and implementing unit of the government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities and as a forum wherein the collective views of the people may be expressed and considered and where disputes may be amicably settled.
