In a significant step to ensure peace and security of local communities, Governor Jonvic Remulla led the distribution of supplies for Barangay Tanod of the 7th District of Cavite on August 12, 2024, at Indang Municipal Covered Court, to strengthen their capacity and preparedness to respond in any situation.

A total of 2,320 Barangay Tanods from the municipalities of Indang, Tanza, Amadeo, and Trece Martires City received essential kits containing vests, batons, whistles, gloves, and caps to support their critical role in maintaining public order and safety of their barangay.

PTLCOL Joven T. Bahil, Chief PCADU, Cavite Police Provincial Office, served as the guest speaker and remarked his confidence on the role of barangay tanods as force multipliers in ensuring peace and order.

Governor Remulla was joined by 7th District Congressman Crispin Diego โ€œPingโ€ Remulla, Board Member Francisco Gabriel โ€œAbengโ€ Remulla, Indang Mayor Perfecto V. Fidel, and Tanza Vice Mayor Archangelo B. Matro in affirming support and appreciation to the local community protectors.

The initiative underscores the commitment of local government leaders to empower the Barangay Tanod by recognizing their invaluable contributions as first responders in the community. — Ria M. Tanael
