Barangay Mataas na Lupa was formerly a sitio of Barangay Alulod. It became a separate barangay by virtue of Sangguniang Panlalawigan Ordinance No. 23-1990 approved on November 15, 1990. The Barangay is more or less five kilometers away from población. It is bounded on the north by Barangay Inocencio, Trece Martires City, on the south by Barangay Alulod, on the west by Barangay Bancod and on the east by Barangay Conchu, Trece Martires City.
As the basic political unit, the Barangay serves as the primary planning and implementing unit of the government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities and as a forum wherein the collective views of the people may be expressed and considered and where disputes may be amicably settled.
