According to history, the name Limbon came from an unexpected incidence during the Spanish regime. During those times, the only way to Silang was through a river located between the place ang Pangil, Amadeo, Cavite. In the lower portion of the river were piles of branches and twigs of trees that served as shade for the Katipuneros. One time, the Spaniards went to the place. The head of the group asked his interpreter named “Limbas” saying. “Lim, what are those piles?” The interpreter answered. “Bon-bon”. At that time, there were innocent people who heard the conversation. They heard the words “Lim and Bon”. From then on, the place was called Limbon.
