Carasuchi

Barangay Carasuchi was originally just a part of bigger barangays which include Pulo and Kaytambog. Because of the vast existence of calachuchi trees in the community, the place was named after the flower of the tree. The Spanish pronunciation of “Carasuchi” instead of Calachuchi gave way to the name of the Barangay.

Primarily classified as rural with a total land area of 199.54 hectares, the Barangay is located at the western portion, about 5 kilometers from Indang town proper. It is bounded on the north by Barangay Pulo, on the south by Barangay Anuling of Mendez, on the east by Barangay Kayquit and on the west by Barangay Guyam.

As the basic political unit, the Barangay serves as the primary planning and implementing unit of the government policies, plans, programs, projects and activities and as a forum wherein the collective views of the people may be expressed and considered and where disputes may be amicably settled.
